Our Story – Sent from Pam Kolbow On Monday, my brother’s life changed in an instant. He suffered a seizure at work and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered a life-threatening aortic tear. He had to be medflighted to UW Madison for emergency care. During this terrifying time, he also suffered two strokes. Right now, he is in the ICU, on a breathing machine, and fighting for his life. While there have been small signs of progress, the reality is that this is only the beginning of a very long and uncertain road to recovery. I’ve been at the hospital with him every day, traveling an hour each way to be by his side. With the medical crisis, travel expenses, and missed work, the financial burden is quickly adding up. Your donations will help cover travel costs, meals, and the essentials I need to continue being there for him during this fight.
